Dorothy “Dottie” Macut Buchele, 60 years, of Canyon Country, California and formerly of Temperance, MI, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015.  Born May 2, 1955, in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Marko and Dorothy (Manders) Macut.  She was a 1973 graduate from Bedford High School. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in History with a minor in German, and later earned her Master’s Degree in Education from UCLA.  Dottie was the widow of Kenneth Shawn Buchele.  She was a teacher for the LA Unified School District for 30 years, retiring in 2010.

Dottie is survived by her loving children, Thea Alexander, Cahnry, Amber, Richard, Gary, Trisha, and Trevor Buchele; Mother, Dorothy Macut; Brothers, Michael (Barbara) Macut and Daniel Macut; sisters, Lucy (William) Mainwaring, Dianne Macut and grandson, Thomas Champine.  She was also preceded in death by her father, Marko Macut and nephew, Michael Vern Macut Jr.

Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Thursday, September 3, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Friday, September 4, 2015, at 11:00 am.
